Inventory control is the activity of checking a store’s stock.
You cannot direct change/modify products quantity manually, so how is a product quantity changed. See the figure below.

In the figure above, it clearly illustrated how the product quantity is changed. The basic concept is, purchase order add quantity to the product and the receipt or invoice will take away quantity from the product.
